Cultural Exchange Program
Pamoja World has a customized one to four weeks program in Kenya running in the months of April, August and December every year. These program is meant to enrich your knowledge about the people, their different cultures, the History of Kenya, promote mutual understanding and friendship between participants. It is an experience of a life time.

Arrival : (2 Days )
The Participants are expected to arrive at every beginning of the month with an allowance of a day or two given that there are unforeseen delays with flights etc. Please note that the earlier you arrive the better because you will be more acquainted with everyone else on board.
The Members/Participants come from all over the world and live together with their Kenyan counterparts in the same space/grounds/house. Where they will enjoy group activities, seminars and discussions, learn different cultures, skills, participate in Community Development activities, local outings and Safaris, go for sightseeing among other activities The program serves to broaden the participants' perspective of the world and to strengthen their motivation and ability to contribute to international cooperation but the basic experience is 'living the Culture, the Language and the life'.
HAVE A NICE FLIGHT

Orientation week: (5 Days)
The week commences with some basic introduction and challenging games including a tour around the capital city Nairobi and its suburbs. It centers towards knowing Nairobi and it's vicinity. This gives you the opportunity to familiarize yourself with places around you and as well as give time to buy various items or commodities like curios and African regalia that depict the african culture. We shall also visit various sites e.g. The National Theatre, The Maasai Ostrich Farm, The Nairobi National Park, Mamba Village, Butterfly Farm, The Snake Park, The Carnivore Restaurant for sumptuous game meat among other places.
There will be social and cultural integration amongst the Volunteers/Members by interacting with one another and learning customs and rites. There will be sessions where we shall enhance interaction with the local communities and identify their needs with the aim of achieving objectives for the benefit of the communities. This is by Initiating self-sustainable projects and promoting Self-discovery through brainstorming sessions on life's experiences and a way forward
Community Week: (8 Days)
Activities of the week will involve interacting with the local communities, engaging in environmental and community projects which includes teaching in the local schools, taking care of livestock, planting trees, visiting Children's Homes and having some fun with the local football and basketball teams, learning the way of life in the different cultures in Kenya, and vise versa.
This is where Pamoja World Cultural Night comes in: this a one day event where we show case our cultural costumes and dances, play music or instruments, eat and drink and just have fun. (please come with your attire).
We offer Sessions that bring about the aspect of familiarization amongst our Volunteers/Members i.e. creating a bond with the Volunteers/Members and discussing the program's objectives.

Kenya is strategically placed at the heart of Africa trade with it's periphery boardering North, Central, West and South African nations. It also posesses an active hinterland which serves Eastern Nations such Uganda, Burundi, Rwanda, Congo in accessing Eastern markets in Europe via the Indian Ocean, Asia, Australia, and America. In your stay in Kenya you benefit from its strategic positioning, political stability, friendly relationship, ideal climatic conditions, vast human and natural resources. We shall venture into investment opportunities available and visit Micro (The Jua Kali sector) and Macro institutes as part of the program.
Adventure Week : (10 days)
We will engage in exciting adventures such as cruising across diverse rich vast slopes, valleys and plains of Africa in the closet of the Republic of Kenya which is Africa's pride. Other activities are mountain climbing (Mt. Kenya), camping at the Maasai Mara Game Reserve (watching the Great Migration), visiting various natural land forms (like The Great Rift Valley), Tsavo National Park, Naivasha National Park, Menengai Crater, Kariandusi Home of Fossils, Lake Nakuru National Park, The Coast (Surfing in Mombassa, Diving in Malindi, site seeing in Lamu, Marine Park in Shimoni among other places).
We shall wind up the whole experience with a Send off Beach Party at The Coast after which everyone can leave at their own pleasure.
